Going to the vet is usually a struggle. These guys do a really good job softening the blow of difficult decision making and taking time to explain things in detail. They also take their work pretty seriously. And their wall photos are the best.

We have had fantastic experiences with Urban Animal. We enjoy the convenience of not having to make an appointment sometimes and other times, it's great to have an appointment. The vets that we have seen have been fantastic. They were compassionate when our kitties passed away and knowledgeable when we adopted a new kitty with an amputated leg. Service is good. Everyone is kind. We'll keep going back.

I have been going here for years with my dogs and cat. They offer walk in services and appointments (appointments cost more and require a deposit.) The have late weekday hours but no weekends. This is for the White Center location. The Capital hill location runs the same. The down town one is apointment only.

This is a great vet to visit, especially if you fur-baby needs care in a hurry. You can show up anytime and take your chance on the wait. Both times I have been it's been about 2 hours to take care of everything. The pricing is very fair, and the staff are freindly, professional and helpful. Both my visits were for nasty cat on cat bites and the bill each time was for around $300. This included a strong anti-biotic shot ($95), but with that you're done with the medication. I love the business model here- they bridge the gap by providing Urgent Care instead of you have to go to the ER. I am also sure they will refer you to one if you need it however. They akso take regular check appts and the like which I am sure are just as good.

This vet has been the best veterinarian office I've ever been to. Professional, clean, friendly, up to date technology, and they really care about their patients!! They have a live wait-list for how many people are waiting and how long that estimated wait time is, you can check that easily on their website. They are super kind and friendly and show great empathy for your fur baby and you situation as an owner. I've brought two of my kitties here and they take good care of them in all regards. We recently had to have our sweet kitty put to rest of 22 years, and more recent of 15 years 😢 and they really go the extra mile for you with that. We went the cremation route and as you can see from the photos they give you a urn with your kitties ashes, some of their fur, and a paw print of their paw, along with some other things. They allow you all the time you need with your pet during the process... nowhere cares like they do. Will always be where I take my current and future fur babies. 🐈🐾 RIP Daisy & Phoenix baby. We love you. ❤️

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a few years and they are wonderful. Today my dog had a large tooth extraction and the care and communication was unmatched from anywhere else we’ve been. We had a terrible experience at West Seattle animal hospital last time my dog was under anesthesia; so my anxiety was pretty high for this procedure. All the staff communicates well and with intention. Miranda did a wonderful job checking her in and her dental discharge Dr (Julie??) was so thorough and answered all my questions without feeling rushed. Tess at the front desk sent me all our invoices together to make my life easier for insurance. Honestly this vet office is a gem, and my dog runs up to the door excited! Thank you Urban Animal.

Thank you Urban Animal WC for taking such good care of my sweet pup. I came in unsure of what was wrong with my dog Ari, but the prompt and loving care of the staff at UAWC assured me that everything was going to be alright. The front desk staff were super kind, sweet and patient, we were seen within 30 min, our vet nurse Anne was the sweetest soul and made both my dog and I feel so comfortable, Doctor Michael was very gentle, kind and calm while we were in his care and exceeded my expectations as he coordinated the next steps for my animal. I didn't feel any salesy pressure, nor any guilt, and it was easy to trust the care at this clinic. I'm forever grateful! My dog was able to get her surgery and now she's on the road to recovery. Thank you again UAWC! ❤️

My cat of 20 years stopped eating so I took her to Urban animal to get seen by a veterinarian. I waited 15 minutes for Dr, Patricia Hans to assess her. Dr. Hans was clear about my cat’s current status, and I quote “ she’s not eating for a reason”. So, she put Benny (name) my Bengal cat on ‘palliative end of life care , wrote a prescription for bupenorphine to help with pain and symptom management and told me what I needed to do to keep Benny comfortable & to come back when I was ready for euthanasia. I gave Benny a dose of the medicine every few hours and took her back into Urban animal the very next morning to have Benny euthanized. The medical technician was supportive, smart, skilled, careful not to hurt Benny, she had to shave some fur off Bennys arm to put in an I.V. It was tricky but, the tech explained that it was difficult bc Benny was so dehydrated but once she got the IV in I hugged and kissed my little girl, said goodbye and Benny fell asleep comfortably. June 9th 2026 at 10:00 a.m. was The saddest day of my life but thanks to the skilled professionals at Urban animal to make the best out of a tough situation. They provide instructions for how I could get Benny aqua Mation or water cremation to keep her remains. Upon leaving Urban animal the day Benny passed I noticed they even had a candle burning on the counter by the exit.

My precious girl Grey passed today but I wanted to come here to thank the staff that took care of her. Grey was a stray cat that I took in after seeing her having seizures outside my parent’s house. I took her to Urban Animal the day after I trapped her to get checked because this was one of the few places that did drop-ins. I remember feeling scared that they were going to turn us away because Grey was old, dirty and full of fleas and that I would have to put her down. Instead, we were met with compassion, kindness and patience by the vet. Grey often visited the vet after because she had a series of health problems that kept coming. They even started to remember our names. She probably seen all the vet that is at this location. Everyone was kind to her during each visit so thank you for taking care of her in the last year and a half. Grey seemed like she hated it at the vet but I am sure she’s thankful for the remedies she’ve received. My previous Grey had a raspy voice of a chained smoker. She loved chicken, minnows and churus. She spent her time in her heated blanket and the occasion sun bath. She loved being brushed (her first time was at this vet and she allowed me to do it at home once she realized the luxury). We do reading time at night. Lastly, she loved our med routine - she greeted me with her raspy meows and enjoyed the temptations that came with her meds. She passed in my arms in her home. Once again, thank you for taking care of my sweet Grey. 🩷

I can’t say enough about the excellent care our senior cat received at Urban Animal in White Center. We were sent there by our regular vet during an emergency situation. The team was so kind, supportive and made us feel at ease during a difficult time. We were also shocked at the affordable cost of the care. We would highly recommend them and would happily have them as our regular vet in the future.
